From.what I know about hosts, isn't their rank just based on how much their customers spend on them? Maybe Asuka doesn't have many customers due to his personality, but they're high paying ones?
If this is what you want to believe, go for it! I just can’t believe he’s that popular or with clients that spend that much for a guy to basically ignore them (he’s not even chatty) much less flirt with them. He just listens and responds with basically nothing lol

Which just confirms what I was saying with how a host doesn't need to be immensely popular with a lot of customers, but only need to have high sales. The guy is shown to have a specific type of customers who like his personality and are clearly willing to pay more to boost his sales. There's a word for that: efficiency

I know how host clubs work. I meant that if you wanted to believe he has high paying clients despite his behavior, go for it. He isn’t shown to have anything aside from telling us he was #1 before. He offers so after work services (money lost) and actively tells his clientele to not work themselves to pay to see him which is a common outcome for women that spend crazy amounts of money at host clubs. This isn’t even worth arguing about, I literally told you to believe what you want because it’s literally not that big of a deal. Get a grip.
