I think this is the most logical and possible explanation. Tbh I've been thinking he killed his own dad for a minute but I couldn't imagine how it got to that point. I think you're onto something... It's also important to not that the zombies in this story are not your typical zombies. It's not a you get bitten you get infected kind of thing & it is never mentioned that they're dangerous. Only that it unnerved people to the point of causing hysteria plus the natural disasters made it worse. I'm thinking that either his dad dies of an injury or kills himself, & guwon lived with the body, went crazy, and "killed" him.
Yeah but I think teach killed his own father (the zombie version) to defend himself and it was traumatic enough to cause his memory loss
