Maybe chirpy got so lost in their time space dimension and accidentally arrived in front of Melissa instead of Kiana. I could see that happening lol
I think Chirpy has a hand to this going back thingy? Just a theory. Cause she/he/they can travel to space?? like maybe it's the reason? Idk. And as Kiana is maybe her/him/their true master it might be the cause.. cause even the cousin(forgot her name but Chirpy's previous master) doesn't remember the past...
