I'm losing braincells here. I've read things with dumb characters but not the mc and ml being this dumb. This isn't even a miscommunication issue they're just dumb. Like hey mc you could just threaten him that you'll transfer or just find another job. And ml trapped himself there if mc wasnt an idiot and did just transfer/quit. The ml would just have to sit there and wait for his dad to get him out.
