I think this might be because the future him no longer resent jungqing so much, he just ignored his existence.
his personality overall should be more mature than in the past too (such as that wedding night in the past). there's actually a lot happened in the future not just him being saved by jungqing but he also realized his brother had alwasy been on his side. so these awakened him.
but you still see some stuff didnt change like how he still treated his other concubine horribly, and he still had that temper sometimes. yeah tiger cant change their spot overnight.
but it's easier to say that jing shao probably had always been a grateful person and a fool when in love (and pretty much everywhere else except military stuff prolly) so it's not that he has changed so much. he just hasn't never been this grateful and this in love
