Honestly, if you are the only one your partner can trust, and rely on.. It's also pretty useful.
So he was busy and thats why he didnt have time to clear his lovers name of murder accusation. You know all that sect management takes a lot of time and your mind off such minor problems. I see now that he is definitely a good guy!
