Yeah. It's because you can feel the gap. Which definitely could be covered up in a novel due to more word explanation and more chapters but in a manga form it's hard to fit in everything. I feel like they did a good job tho.
Also we had very very few Romantic gestures till now, as plot was more focused on revenge. And now we have side stories where they are all over each other, it's like we never saw the transition happening it was the revenge plot then they are together.
that's why sometimes it feels like gap in between but I would I did enjoy it. Maybe reading novel would help.

Yeah Jay is a psychopath. But he does love yoohan. And yoohan does love Jay. Looking at this from a psychological standpoint Jays love is his obsession. Yoohan is the object of his obsession. His desire. He sees right through to Yoohan deepest self. If you read deeply into the story and the dynamic they're both actually written out really well. They are both solid characters, they don't confess and they don't say I love you(yet atleast) but they do know what they have. In the last few chapters yoohan says to myeung-shin that his sponsor loves him too much. So he knows he's loved by Jay, he also has seen many times in the series just how much Jay lets him get away with. And at the same time. For Yoohan, Jay gives him a reason to live.
I read the whole thing in a day and I LOVE THE ART, but I feel like the story was a lil mediocre. Also like the characters were cool and all but I never got the feeling of love between them even now it just feels like two strangers or roommates just fucking. I have yet to see a moment where I went “ah thats cute” or kind of cute.
