there's no arguing about ch 14, I think that was just unnecessary but it's for the drama i guess, for the readers to think ah that's the final straw. Also that's the thing, that's JJ's character writing. He's not someone who would push and argue and let things fester while Leo's the type to take things granted and act like everyone will still stay no matter what he do. We can see this dynamic when JJ talks to Leo and he barely listens (even now) and leaves. And that's fine coz I love the flaws in their characters. Like yes your parents aren't being abusive but being neglectful is another form of it.

I don't think that's the issue here, we can also use the term "family" and there are those that chooses their family and still gets neglected. You think it's weird that JJ chooses to stay with Leo and never bring up the issue? I think as readers we can infer that JJ doesn't think the relationship was equal because even if he fights and breaks up with Leo, Leo can easily find another and move on. JJ stayed and was quiet about it coz he loves Leo too much (he was also his idol) to initiate a possible fight. I think you can tell it from scenes where JJ talks but Leo barely listens and walks away and JJ doesn't say anything about it. They were in that toxic relationship where neither are being abusive yes but they choose to enable the cracks form in the relationship. One chose to be quiet and be a martyr and one saw it and took it for granted. Well in the end, the therapist did say they lack communication XD
