People forget that part of the reason why Haru thought Shinya was lying about his feelings was due to Shinya not asking him to quit being a prostitute.
Ginji planted the seeds in his head that Shinya not asking him to quit was a sign that he wasn't telling the truth and just scamming Haru. Haru WANTED Shinya to tell him to quit to prove his love and then went on to repeatedly say he couldn't trust Shinya 'cause he's a host.
I think people just don't know how to fucking read and automatically think Shinya is just being an overly-controlling, hypocritical prick. I even saw some say that Shinya was sleeping with clients just 'cause that's what they think all hosts do for money. It's wild lol
I don't understand what part of Haru quitting that people aren't understanding. Haru needs to sleep with his clients, Shinya doesn't. Hosts don't need to sleep with their clients. They need to drink and flirt. Which could be an issue in their relationship, but they are working towards Shinya also quitting his line of work altogether. It's a temporary job for him.
I reckon Haru would have an issue with Shinya also doing sex work and sleeping with people other than him. I don't know what part of that obvious plot-line people aren't clocking. Haru obviously had no issue complying and quitting his line of work for his boyfriend. He willingly let go of his job, c'mon lol.
