The man loves his wife, so he kept avoiding his 'turn'. fl knew that the wife was heartbroken because they need an heir but she had horrible miscarriage and that terrified the husband to not try for child with his wife because he'd Rather have his wife alive and adopt a ward than see her die. They didn't sleep together, fl told him to trust his wife, because the wife also want a child. The brother said he'll support financially her even if she didn't pick any from the two brothers.
