Like all of you I’m also waiting for Suo backstory , but what I’m also waiting is for suo and sakura scenes bc all the time nirei is with them. Not even for shipping but just in general let them interact without him for once pls

Nirei is important to them they are not complete without Nirei.

Suo and Sakura are literally the #1 Nirei defenders, you can't take him away from them lmao

You know what else is unhealthy? Children doing gang fights

They don't have to be separated to be "their own person". If you can't see a character as their own person by looking at their stories and perspectives then that's you problem

Their frienship is part of their development and has a huge impact into each of their character

Then imagine situation when you write that female that constantly appears with some guy is not complete without him and needs him as defender. Sounds unhealthy right? The read your own comment again

But is it really that kind of situation? WB clearly emphasizes how having people to rely on is essential for a person’s growth (for example during the KEEL arc where Sakura was trying to get things done and was scolded by Kaji).

The series consistently highlights that theme, especially through its characters' backstories. Nirei and Sakura were both struggling in their own ways, Nirei endured bullying, and Sakura was left alone (was also abused). At its core Wind Breaker revolves around the idea of found family, forming deep and chosen bonds that help people heal and grow.

It doesn’t mean that being protected equals weakness. Rather, it means having someone by your side, someone you can depend on. If you genuinely read the manga, you'd notice Nirei's efforts to grow with Sakura and Suo. He’s not just passively standing by, he’s actively trying. He’s fought his own battles, stepped up when needed, and taken on the role of being an informant to help the group beyond just physical support. Nirei's character reflects that growth isn't just about fighting, it's also about showing up for others in whatever way you can.

I urge you to read the manga again if you have missed all those points in Wind Breaker ^^
