If they're both old enough to know the consequences of unsafe sex, then why not? My BF had to wait for 3yrs before I said yes to penetration because I was really afraid of getting knocked up before I could get a job and really enjoy the life of a carefree bachelor. He respected my choice and now we're 13 yrs together, married and with 2 beautiful children.

ive been dating my bf for 3 years and we do mostly everything besides penetration (im asexual but im comfortable doing stuff to him for the most part i just dont get aroused lol), tho tbh many other asexual ppl ive seen have less luck and get broken up with for not wanting sex, so im not sure if my experience is uncommon or not… anyway, i think it rlly depends on the ppl. my other friends have also been dating for 3 yrs and i dont think they’ve gone past kissing/hickies.

Girl, it's definitely not common. I'm an Asexual girl too and to be honest, I'm quite afraid of penetration and pregnancy. I've no desire to become a mom either. I can get aroused, I just don't feel sexually attracted to anyone. I still find certain facial and physical features beautiful (like people liking a certain type of art style or art piece). I wouldn’t mind having a boyfriend who would be satisfied with just me touching him but it's really tough out there. A few of the guys, my friends introduced me to, wanted to do it right away, even before I agreed to officially date them. With all the news of SA, I wouldn’t trust a guy to let me leave his apartment after a simple makeout if he doesn’t get satisfied.

Lolol I think when you’ve been wanting someone and holding back it’s hard not to after a make out. Me and my partner are holding off on anything physical for personal reasons but it’s not like we’re fighting for our lives. Just sexual tension that turns into a closer bond. Some people get that closer bond by resolving the sexual tension. Just depends on:)
do every other couple (with or without experience) fuck once they get together
