Wait maybe I'm misremembering something, but in the beginning satoko was kidnapped. But *spoilers*. ... Her father was the one who orchestrated the kidnapping so the guy who was to marry satoko would swoop in and save her. However the kidnappers also said to kill her at nine and they had shinpei in charge to oversee this, but in reality it was just a ruse. So technically wouldn't shinpei have known of the og plan of the Dad getting her kidnapped?
