That's fairly common in chinese ABO with AA and BA pairings. In most of these settings both A and O have both reproduction systems (sprm and uterus) but on A the canal/entry to the uterus is either too narrow to allow passage of sprm or the uterus is kinda underdeveloped making it extremely hard but completely impossible for them to get preggs.
