In the novel uke just want seme to realize his own feeling like geuniely love him, not desperate because the seme need uke for mating that he would throwing everything. That why when seme finally learn his feeling and also know uke's location he still choose to saw uke from afar until the uke ready to meet him

He love him but also hate him? So bad that he needs to run away even though, seme throwing away everything to be with him. I get it. He doesn't want to be a caged bird. This also shows he love himself more and not blinded by love in any way.
