But the thing that solidified my love for the series was canute understanding "love" weirdly enough. I had the complete opposite reaction to it though...I found God to be more lovely after the change in my worldview happened and I began to understand the world... I could finally see God as fair, just and kind... the true meaning of unconditional love, exactly how the earth and the sky act... and i don't mind going through the trials of trying to love the world... I don't live back then though so maybe that helps XD
but that moment in the anime somehow combined the world of religion that I grew up in and grew to hate and the world of spirituality and theosophy that I've come to understand, love and believe in... now everything makes sense to me... everyone that's ever wanted to help humanity find peace have been saying the same thing it's the people that convey those messages years later that twist the words into wrath punishment and hatred when in reality God has always been fair to everyone even the worst of us and that is what love is... truly unconditional. But seeing the story of the garden of eden in a new light was really fascinating... and it makes sense now... yes... we were beings of absolute love and when we gained "wisdom" we began thinking and overthinking and we stopped loving and that is the curse of humanity to make things unnecessarily fearful yet it's also the only place you get to choose. And you go through the journey of life to finally understand you want to choose love...
I think vinland saga is possibly the best and worst thing that happened to me
I'm here to read the rest of the story still haven't started though so no spoilers after the season 2 of anime please
I just have to scream about it with people that know and love it....
This... this is such a beautiful story, so painful but so beautiful nonetheless.
It has left me speechless and honestly dehydrated from crying so much... I haven't cried like that since the grave of fireflies
What i found so fascinating though is how much it's the story of MEN. All men. War mongers, murderers and crazy psychopaths as well as farmers villagers and even politicians yet also regular old fathers and husbands and simply loving good people and somehow these titles combine once in a while...The story of these men's hopes and dreams, their decisions and actions and mostly their regrets... ugh their regrets... and then their willingness to find the truth of this world... and right the wrongs that they themselves or other men have done... they were truly BEAUTIFUL MEN.
(The story of gardar broke me so bad I'm never gonna be the same person i was.)
