But they aren't in a relationship... Jinwoon isn't bound to Guwon. He may have feelings but he's already showing signs of retaliation. Next step is to leave. Quite simple for him since he's already asking to. He could sneak out if Guwon says no. I have yet to see security around the town (I'll reread to double check tho). But, Jinwoo's mind is obviously set on going away for a while. He can mentally and physically leave as far as I'm seeing.
I’m definitely not an expert in that domain but I kinda understand what you mean the unknown can be even more scary and unappealing than a known evil.
