I don't think the time travel is pretty random nor out place, from the very beginning of the story you can already tell the subtle hints that the Uke was giving—from the conversation he had, and the trauma he had suffered, so I don't get why people are complaining about it being random when from the start, it was already quite suggested, it just so happens that the perspective we got to see first was the Semes persepective.
