It's easier to do it. Also not everyone is aware of the fact that it's harder to stich it back to heal if it's done *another way*
I'm not sure how to explain it properly but it just feels more.. natural (?) to do the horizontal motion
Why did he cut horizontally? I wonder if that was an artistic choice or an intentional detail kept in.
