Fr. I looked at chapter 6 Yuder vs chapter 61 Yuder and the difference is startling.

I wouldn’t say he’s ugly now, just that the way they drew him before was much better. It goes for some of the other character too, but it’s most noticeable with Yuder. He looks so much flatter now. The hair even looks unwashed. I think they changed the artist. Damn, maybe I do think he’s ugly now, lol. Feel free to throw hands I guess ╮(￣▽￣)╭

It’s the same artist…..um your tone is a bit callous though. Consideration please especially since we’re all reading illegally although paying for raws gives someone more entitlement l guess (I pay for raw chs on ridibooks and lesbian). I think it’s obviously still fine to prefer one style over the other but I don’t necessarily think it’s ugly (considering I’ve read so many manhwa my bar is kind of in hell and I’ve seen so much worse like the early 100+ chs of tower of god where the writing carried the manhwa) hell the proportions on yuder when his shirt is off is more novel accurate however what might be throwing everyone off is how inconsistent the proportions is compared to the beginning of the story. Like I like how Yuder looks like in the last few panels but he doesn’t look like that 50% of the time (sometimes his body is too short or unrealistic dorito melange). Yuder is far noticeable bc he’s the character that has the most screentime so I can understand why the artist slacks on him sometimes (esp with the week to week work schedule that frankly doesn’t pay well). But honestly I might be less bothered bc I’m reading the manhwa as an additional extra supplement to the novel so the quality of art doesn’t rly impact my experience much in comparison to someone who only reads the manhwa where art is hugely impactful as a vehicle to deliver the story. Difference of perspective might be why I feel less intensely about it (nothing tops the original source material for me which is the novel). I actually have more of an issue with the manhwa cutting down crucial details that were in the novel then the art lol. I don’t mind most of it bc the pacing is more efficient but some info is completely lost so I def understand people getting lost bc the story gets so much more complex.

Will say tho that I’m grateful the avg quality of art in the manhwa industry is so high to the point where a lot of these panels are considered “ugly” bc man the quality back then….truly made people drop it in the early chs. Like another example is that the art is ok…in rose & champagne but man the proportions sure were interesting in the beginning. The artist is pretty incredible now (even if I dropped it bc of story reasons not bc of art). But yeah time will tell if they’ll give the artist enough rest and time to get back to drawing turning in a consistent art style with consistent proportions and room for improvement. Time will judge…..

Since we’re all here on the illegal side it’s not really a place we’re any of us can call the other entitled ╮(￣▽￣)╭ The morally right ship has already sailed. Besides, finding some art beautiful and others not have never been entitled either, just a difference in taste. But you do you, bestie.
