You have a point in everything you said. But when deciding to pick a story up as this one with the whole plot surrounding “weight loss,” you have to come with an expectation for such things. I’m not saying it’s right but it’s bound to keep happening with the way people are so closed minded. Specially since this is a manwha, since from what I’ve seen is that people in asia tend to exaggerate weight. Commenting this to the actual author on a legal website in which they gain from and post would be more proactive.

I wish I could but I dont have access to any relevant legal website where I am currently, also I've read many pieces involving weight-loss before but none represented it as grotesque as the author here which is why I mentioned my concern. I also think the race or culture excuse is not valid because all it takes is a bit of compassion, hell, common sense even. Basically comparing people to elephants or mammoths is not a cultural issue, it's a personality one, there are overweight people absolutely everywhere so if there are represented like that, even by their own peers, it should still be a problem.
Ngl the author is kinda giving fatphobic, as a gymrat and ex overweight when you workout you quickly learn that you shouldn't restrain yourself on treadmills even if the noise sounds alarming because those things can support a ginormous amount of weight, also the noise is proof that the effort is really efforting. There's also the way they drew the steps embedded into the treadmill, it reminded me of the way elephant or mammoth steps are imprinted on the earth, let's make a cute manhwa without the need to attack people's physical appearance for your "plot".
