That’s not really what I was trying to say! I guess I just meant that Alois was also really into the Duke of his own accord, and that helped the development of the story. The Duke didn’t force him to like him at any time, and if not for the wish they both would have ended up dying. Like I originally said, I can accept that the story is weird, definitely made with a particular fetish in mind, but plot wise I did like it. I would have liked to see it with an older Alois at the start, which is also a fact I pointed out.

honestly I agree with you and I don’t see how your review shows that it’s Alois’s fault. the man is already 24 and the duke was still rejecting him ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
also i dont think its a pedo story coz the duke rescued him and took care for him for a short while prolly while looking for a place to care for him before sending him away to let him find himself… there was no grooming or molestation…
the author just showed the him and the child care scenes to show how Alois also saved him from his darkness and there was no sexual connotations whatsoever

Exactly, for which I’m grateful. He didn’t force Alois into doing anything- in fact, Alois was actually the one being super pushy; showing up to his room half naked, trying to kiss him awake, and repeatedly getting refused. This all occurred with zero prompting from the Duke. Of course the Duke didn’t swiftly put an end to his actions, but still Alois himself was the one trying to essentially “force” a relationship. And I agree with you, the author just intended to show the light Alois brought to the Duke”s life, but I can see how others, and myself at first, might mistake it for a “pedo story.”
Okay but think about it this way.. I know the story is portrayed weird and everything, but TECHNICALLY Alois was given every chance to not develop feelings for the duke… he never tried anything with him when he was a kid (bc obviously that would be weird) and he didn’t groom him either. Alois’s wish is the catalyst that changes both their futures. In both timelines, they save each other. There is no Alois without the Duke and no Duke without Alois. Is that last bit of the story where they show Alois as a kid weird? Yes and i won’t deny that, but the art and concept of the story was really good you have to admit. It would definitely be further appreciated if Alois were older though, that I can’t deny, but like I said, I appreciate that he came into his feelings on his own and wasn’t coerced in any way.
