Unfortunate

I am sad that he lost so much weight at the end... And seemingly so fast too. I wish he stayed a bit fat you know. Not obese like he was before, not thin like now... Just soft, because it's a big part of the manga so... Why take it away at the end...
Otherwise it's of course super cute.
But yeah, even the sex scene in the extra chapter didn't feel genuine nor sexy because of the weight change and all...

    4-8 ??? Wow...
Like, okay if we think this is a huge gap, then it makes sense.
But for me it never seemed like a big gap...
Like... They're at the last year of school... For me it was like-... 2-3 years at most

Bare minimum its 4 years cuz university takes that long. Probably 5 since they seem settled in their jobs. I dont remember what year of high-school they were in but also it doesn't mention how settled they r in their jobs so I gave 3 years of wiggle room in my estimation.

    In Japan ? o:
Since here uni can be like... 2-3 years even
But I know Japan puts a ton of emphasis on Uni...
Actually let me re-read the last chapter

    Okay I'm back
So, they're "graduate students" which for me could just mean... High school you know.
And they started working after. = 1-2 years...
But I guess they went to university ?
    If they did
    Then
1 year to finish high school
You said maybe 4 years of uni...
Now they're working... Maybe indeed 5+
    6, 7 8 !!! 20 years !!!

But more seriously, how they talk doesn't make it seem like they have been together for a long time...
So it's either post uni, or no Uni...
Or... Or they WERE in Uni but it seems more like the manga was in high school......

2 years uni…? Where do you live..never heard of 2 years bachelors.
For me the time skip is 3 or 6 years, without and with uni. And like you said graduate student doesn’t necessarily mean uni graduates, but it did say members of society meaning they got a job so I’m gonna say at least 1 year of job hunting.

I’m not a big fan of the huge weight loss either, only because of how weight is usually portrayed in these romance mangas..it’s always either they lose the weight to be accepted or lose weight in the relationship because they’re insecure of not being good enough for their partner.

Nonetheless I’m just glad the time skip wasn’t to their 3rd year with him losing all that weight because that would have..pissed me off.
Also happy seeing the small drawings of just them going on dates and being together!! They’re so cute!! That was the most important bit for me..being able to actually see him being loved and appreciated no matter the size, because most mangas I have read usually just draw the confession bit and then every romantic date moment is with the skinny version…like??
