They don't, og bottom likes MC, ML likes MC since he was a kid. ML hates og bottom, he wants him dead many times but always gets stopped by MC

In think if we go with the og novel, ML mostly like og bottom like those "you're interesting for talking back at me etc" type of trope and ML is a controlling freak, also in og novel, ML mostly treats og bottom like an object that he can have sex with (not to mention he's a playboy originally).
Now in current story, MC got transmitted into the novel since he was born, up until he's about to accept the contract to work w ML (they were still kids at that time), that he remembered his past life. So he refused the offer n went different routes. MC was nice n patient to ML when they 1st met which was new to MC as everyone either r scared of him or want to use him for his powers. Due to MC's influence, ML gets obsessed w MC since he was a kid n doesn’t become a playboy (tho he has rumors of it) and since MC was introduced as his personal guide n ML likes him, he expected to be pair w MC but MC refused after gaining his memory back. Which confused ML and made him very mad, so it just amplify his obsession.

MC is kinda dumb when it comes to dealing w the ML lol. Overall, good story, not alot of drama, if there's any drama mostly due to MC being overly nice n forgiving that other (esp those who r jealous of him) take advantage of it.

ML is exactly any obsessed ML would be also w very high sex drive. But he doesn't really force himself too much onto MC. He has alot of funny moments due to how unhinged he is lol (if MC cares too much abt going to school, ML would be jealous n want to blow up the school). He has been waiting for a chance to sweep MC away n it was during the students meeting n MC got so drunk, he fell into ML's arms n called him pretty.
Original bottom also loves MC cz he's nice to him (but ML got jealous so he broke his bones)
