I also have the theory that the teacher's father tried to kill him "which would explain the nightmares he has including a man trying to kill him and the head injury he had at tbe beginning"
Gyuwon might have offered people the choice to either die and save their family or kill them, and they chose tbe latter.
I just have a crazy theory. I'm the o ly one who thinks it is weird that everyone has to same story he said? Guwon killed everyones family and they still went with him. Would you do that ? I have a feeling it wasn't exactly like that. More like they had to decide if there family members live or not. Or I say even they killed them. I they rather picked themselves. That's why they don't care about others death and find it fair. Guwon is more like an executioner just like now. He is like judgment day.
Just think about it, how Guwon says:" I knew it you were different. " What makes him different? That he is honest. But Guwon doesn't know that the MC probably killed his father as a result of self-defense.
I mean I'm sure we gone reach the pont where Mc has to realize he is not better than Guwon.
