it's rare but it does work out irl. my so and i have been married almost 20 years and we have a 10 year age gap, we met when I was 18
but there's definitely something to be said for being aware of and cautious about the power dynamics that happen when one person is significantly older and the other is barely legal, i probably just got lucky lol
