They connect in a dark romance kind of way. Not your lovey dovey. You're expecting something else. This is a psychological dark thriller.
are you living inside my brain or why are you telling me what i expected? i know exactly what i expected and it for sure wasn’t your typical romance. having chemistry isn’t exclusive to being lovey dovey. chemistry can be platonic or even antagonistic, just like it can be something pure or something unethical. it’s what that gives the connection between characters a spark; something that makes their connection interesting if you will. even dark romance characters should have some kind of chemistry to make their relationship worthwhile to follow.
It's just for you. I don't see a problem with their connection at all.
