Yeah, they’re Asian. Not to sound so stereotypical but I mean culturally communication is probably not their priority. It sure isn’t in my culture. Why? Not sure. But it’s hard to make that into a habit once you’re raised in such place.
Regardless, I agree with OP that it’s so stupid. It only takes communication but our culture makes it difficult for ourselves. The solution is RIGHT THERE, so close, bur so far because we make it a long journey.

I think one of my most hated excuse for breaking up is definitely seeing your partner JUST NEXT TO ANOTHER, chatting happily as if they can’t be happy. Then feeling insecure, assuming they cheated, and telling the partner “let’s break up” and the partner doesn’t even know what went wrong.
I think I remember that trope in Love Jinx or something BL, side couple of blue haired guy and silver haired dumb ass (the one that broke it off over just seeing).

I'm totally with you on this bro, and let's take your example, like what comes out of it is that they don't trust their partner and doubt their love, I hate that so much, and what's even worse is when the partner that didn't initiate it apologies, like bro how is that your fault. Ahh japanese have such a different mindset
I noticed some of the reasons for a break up in bl mangas are really stupid. I read some that the uke's ex broke up with them coz the uke is taking good care of them etc. That just doesn't make sense.
