I think they disown her for marrying him and she can’t just simply divorce him without a more reasonable excuse, cheating by noble man was normalized back then + women didn’t have rights + her reputation would get seriously ruined if she got divorced, making her a social outcast and ruining any chances of her advancing in the future
Someone help me to understand this. Can’t she just get divorced and tell her parents what happened to her and how her so called husband cheated on her?
