I don't remember exactly when it happen but Jesse's father killed him in a cave of sort, then after that he went back to his old body, he want to go back to Cedric and Christelle for some reason I can't remember but since Jesse's body is dead the little birdie(I forgot the name) Helped him by transporting his body to Cedric and Christelle's world, I think his older brother also helped but just like what I said it's been a year since I read the novel so the details are a little vague but that's what basically what happen
