I just remember when reading it, the relationship between the MC and the uke felt very one-sided and that made it very frustrating to read. Like the MC very much liked the uke and ofc it started off as a crush, so I understood the perspective of the MC liking the uke more than the uke liked him, okay.
However, even when they got together the uke just rlly could not give the same amount of energy in their relationship up until the very last few chapters (We were 70+ chapters in with a series that ended at ch. 81 at the time), and it just ended up making a lot of readers at the time both frustrated and many coming to the conclusion that the uke didn’t even deserve the MC. Additionally, the story never really framed itself as a love triangle (considering it’s marketing) but at some point really felt like it was pushing to be one so that was annoying too. Anyways still read it if you want bc I heard the side stories kind of fixed the issue I stated above. However, I never got to reading them because I was truly so uninterested and annoyed by the couple that I couldn’t even feel happy with them in the end… and I’m pretty sure the uke might of sexually assaulted someone (not the MC, or it was just some non-con scene that RUINED the whole thing for me)
Disclaimer: I read it when it came out in 2020 and finished in 2022 so it’s been about 3 years, sorry if all the details aren’t exactly right but I think I got the gist of it down

whoops meant to reply here but I don't really see it tbh because it's not that theo doesn't like dylan he is very obviously into him. imo the only reason gunner is involved is because he forces himself into his life either by stalking, raping, or threatening while lucky paradise had nothing like that and was completely uke's issue. Theo is more like a guy trying to move on but his abusive ex won't let him while the lucky paradise is as you described.
This is gonna be a repeat of Lucky Paradise and I can already feel myself getting irritated
