Nah the gf isn't even necessary to the plot so far so why did they make him have a gf to cheat on the heck

It's 4 chapters in... usually are 6 to 7 chapters long if it's a short story, but this very well is a thriller/psychological horror.

The girlfriend is an intriguing character per se, wondering what she will do and what her actual past was. Sure, it could've worked well with the horror of a stalker/hater blackmailing you, but then, with what? The girl and parasocial image the streamer built.

I'd say this story tackles many dirty aspects of the MC's life, where he is the bad guy and a victim. None of relationships, not even his girlfriend, are healthy. I would only expect more abnormal, not most abnormal events

Yeah the gf is an interesting character if she ever gets explored well but the way she's presented so far is just a bit too shallow don't you think? I still can't get behind the cheating since he was sober at that time and still kept on engaging. Its like the gf is destined to be portrayed as a shallow overbearing girl who gets in the way of true love which is rubbing me off the wrong way. Like the plot can do well even without cheating and sA ya know

I don't really read it like that, at least in an optimistic light it's more of mystery before foreshadowing. It really depends on how long the author was willing to develop the story.

The characters are all assholes, won't discuss anyone on that, but I also think the story is about them being specifically assholes per se. But the art direction and narrative are not bad enough to call it a plot hole, yet. Anyway, I can also be giving too much credit to the author making an actual story where all characters are bad and 3 dimensional.
