The ending showing young Theo and kid Alois chilling together doesn't make sense. because this is a time loop. the only reason Theo went to save Alois is because future Theo told him and the only reason he met future Theo is because Alois made that wish, and the only reason Alois made that wish is because Theo kept rejecting him, and the only reason Theo kept rejecting him is because he didn't raise Alois, he had sent Alois away as a kid and they only met up as adults and he didn't want to 'trap' Alois, therefore kept rejecting him. The time loop ceases to work if the Theo and kid Alois had a good relationship growing up. Alois would know Theo is his savior and thus change his perception of the man. Because reminder, in the beginning Alois had no clue Theo was that man. Would he still have romantic feelings for Theo the same way if he viewed him as more of a fatherly/brotherly figure who saved him? idk. Therefore that ending makes no sense.
Kinda feels like the younger's 'selfish' wish overrides his own future/destiny or a variant of his own since that alternate reality/ timeline duke now aware of his existence and feelings way earlier now causing a whole difference in behavior/treatment. Wishes involved with time are risky.
