I COULD be wrong, and I'm not justifying everything Seth did (he was def in the wrong in some stuff) but he was also put under a curse in season 1, rn he has a diff curse and old curse is gone (maybe it was replaced??) So that also played a part in it
His curse was something along the lines of "he will never (through self inflection) have the family he wanted" that's why he couldn't show affection to anubis but was affectionate to ML [he WANTED to be caring to anubis but couldnt coz of the curse but the curse didn't apply to ML so when MC confused him for anubis (due to drugs/alcohol) he was really sweet]
I glad Seth is starting to love Egypt again. Seth has calmed down so much since season 1. In the beginning Seth was like a wild dog that tried to bite anyone that got close to him. But then the dog got adopted and the dog started to change and become nicer as he experienced love and found a home. That is the power of love. Horus is Seth's home/safe space.
