Why would you wish something bad to happen to others just to inflict pain to someone. He's just trying to be nice as an adult at first. I agree I hate the forced romance between them, but the MC being kind doesn't mean he's immature or naive. He's just being nice. Not everyone is as evil as you are. Chill
I hope the MC finds his sister and niece dead and they're in too bad of a shape to be saved. I also hope he comes across a zombie that will bite him and attack him. He's trying to play captain save a hoe, wanting to broadcast how he's not bitten by zombies, and also there's this force romance between him and that annoying girl he saved from the gas station. He's a freaking idiot, he's too damn old to be this naive. I can't stand when they make somebody who's supposedly older act like a stupid immature teenager who doesn't know a damn thing about life or human nature
