That is because Kan-chan couldn't tell Yumi his exact situation. I think Yumi thought that perhaps, Kan-chan's colleagues/boss are bad but he didn't thought that it is THAT bad and that's why he thought cheering him up would be the good thing to do.

Kan-chan even asked him "You were waiting for me to turn back to normal, right?" and Kan-chan was right, Yumi was really waiting for that impossible moment. Yumi could not care less about how their relationship was becoming, he was there because he would not need to see his uncle and that would be easier life for him. Kan-chan already said that. Everyone in Sabita yoru has flaws and that's why they got in such a situation. Even Shuuna has flaw himself. He's so fake. He's fake to everyone else around him.

Since the beginning I really want Kan-Chan and Shuuna meet with Yumi.
I mean, I really hate the way Kan-chan treat Yumi while they're a lover and he never apologize to Yumi after all he done to him.
He leave a scar on Yumi body (burn scar), and Yumi have a big heart to accept that treatment from Kan-chan.
I mean, Kan-chan should have told Yumi about the thing that happen to him at work and I believe Yumi will understand it.
And after this Shuuna will feel insecure again just like when he saw Yumi and Kan-chan picture.
But, the thing from the past need to be done the right way so that both of this couple can have their happy live.
