He wasn't though, like what's wrong with hanging out with friends. The ex was literally controlling and actively ruining seongha's reputation with everyone else just to keep him trapped in the relationship.
If you think that's normal, then you gotta rethink your life choices dude.
Of course it's not normal, but that kind of environment and the toxicity is not slways something you pick up instantly, and once it happens it's hard to leave for some people (not because they want to stay, but because everything from the severed bonds woth friends and family and the distress that can come your way. Not to mention the fact that you have to process and accept that someone you loved dearly is destroying your life, that's not easy either.)
Mc was trapped in a horrible relationship, one he wanted to keep going cause he truly liked that asshole and didn't see how he was slowly breaking everything around them. So good on him for leaving, but also he is traumatized. Also, his ex tried to kill himself in front of him because of how obsessed he was with him, so... Yeah, i think he has reason to be the way he is, and to be scared of that whole thing happening again (even if it's a bit irrational)
