[Mid spoiler] In the novel, when Yujin (guy with purple hair) goes to talk with Hyo and offer him advice, there's an esper flirting with Hyo (he doesn't get it tho) and Yujin teases him about it. Then they talk a bit about previous relationships and how being a guide would suck if you dislike intimate relationships and is forced into them, which is Hyo's case, to which Yujin sympathises and doesn't ask further bcs he senses Hyo had a difficult past. I think it was a nice glimpse into Hyo's backstory that we lost in the manhwa and also justifies a bit his actions and the next arc... Now we'll have to wait quite a bit to hear about his past again.
