i know maya's death was the most expected ending for him (he doesn't deserve a happy one). i'd still like to mention how heart-shattering it is to see people who never had the opportunity to live properly end up like this without even having someone to mourn them when they pass. a lot of these kids who grow up in environments neglected by society are just doomed to misery from birth, so even if that wasn't the author's intention, i totally understand him being jealous of those living in peace and becoming a horrendous person.
