I think everyone is exaggerating a bit. Kael has always been this laid back person, he tends to avoid confrontation, so him saying that Diana didn't need to continue apologizing to me doesn't mean he forgives her or anything like that. He literally said he wants to put more distance with Diana and everything else and focus on Hes. He hasn't denied all the effort and affection that Hestia has expressed and showed him. I think they didn't have a proper talk about the whole thing, they were interrupted as the guests were waiting for them. And him telling Hestia that he doesn't want Diana to be dethroned doesn't mean anything beyond how he just wants his friends to keep being together, but we need his complete perspective to see what he's trying to say. Idk to me it seems like an unnecessary "misunderstanding" to make Kael seem like an ungrateful little bastard, because he's not he adores and cherishes Hestia.
