Well since it's a historical manhwa and all I think they were aiming for the theme of way back when like in Egyptian times when children were kings and married their queens.
I love that the author had the sense not to allow any intimate or romantic scenes between the two of them when Khalid was still a child, I suppose some people wouldn't like it either way but they have different views on it I guess.
