A small rant

I really wish more people came to this manga for the actual plot. A lot of readers originally showed up because it was tagged as BL, but once they realized it wasn’t, many started dropping it. And honestly, if you're only here for the BL, you're missing out on everything else this series does so well.

Maybe you started reading because you thought it was a BL. Which is fair. But refusing to enjoy a story just because it doesn’t center on a gay romance is kind of wild, especially when it was never a BL to begin with. This manga has never had a BL tag on any official platform. It’s serialized magazine have always been its official tags Supernatural, Horror, Mystery, Suspense.

The confusion mostly comes from unofficial sites that love tagging anything with LGBTQ+ characters or a hint of gay romance as BL. Then, when the official translation is released and the BL tag gets removed, people feel misled and blame the author when it was actually the translators or scanlators who caused the confusion.

Yes, the main character clearly has strong feelings for the male lead, but that’s not the core of the story. The romance isn’t the driving force here. This is a horror series that explores Japanese folklore and the darker side of human nature. It’s unique, unsettling, and deeply psychological. The presence of LGBTQ+ characters doesn’t make it a BL, and removing the BL tag doesn’t erase their identities either. The mc identities is unlikeable but that's what make the story sense. He, himself, is not a good human too and the manga is gonna expose that with other character too.

I just wish more people would appreciate the story for what it really is something rather than dropping it over a misunderstanding about the genre.
