I’m not entirely sure either since it been a while since we saw the flashback but if my memory is right, Yuder slept with him in the first timeline when he awakened as an omega and after that blond dude never treated the same, plus Yuder killed him too a for political reasons. He might be remembering his he treated him in most of that timeline and how different he is this thing around from back then (At least that’s what I think)
out of what i've read it seams that yuder hasn't gotten back together from the illusion, so he -even though he knows it's not- is having flashbacks to the illusion because his mind doesn't feel escaped yet. so he's remembering the illusion from the guy who looks like a rebranded todoroki.
Oohh yeah! Now that you mention it, there was that illusion that he saw.

Ugh one reason why I can't bring myself to read the novel is I know it's gonna be heartbreaking!
Maybe it's because I have a memory of a goldfish but I may be missing some context. Maybe some info from the novel can help. Can someone explain the pov of MC here and why he's kinda closed off suddenly(is it sudden?) and the flashback.
