This trope is not uncommon to me, however, …

I have to say, if they’re going to make a psycho seme, they showcase him in a way that makes us react like that. It’s not all the time that the readers would be given insight as to how they turned out that way.

In this work, it was established early that awakeneds think differently from the norm. One example that the uke gave was that their perception of intimacy was different. Not only was it said but it was actually showed and not just an information dump of blocks of explanations, or just because.

I think I was just surprised that they established that fact early and showed it through their guiding sessions. Add to that, we got to know how the ML grew up as an awakened and share that perspective to his lover, more or less.

I think I’m just appreciative of how things went. It was a bit wonky in the beginning since I was reading the preview, the prologue, and ch 1 straight and I was starting to see red on that damn alley xD I am most pleased on how a major conflict didn’t dwell and fester. Instead, there was an opportunity to resolve it and so it did.

So far, I’m liking it. Looking forward to the next update (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
