well technically the sex is canon but its in the side story, moving it forward so suddenly is just... well I'll see what they're trying to cook first
I'm wondering if they plan to cut the side stories entirely and that's why they're trying to show it now? The timing is pretty bad for smut regardless and it definitely takes away from the tension in later scenes since the watch has already shown you they both live.
As a novel reader, I don't hate the manhwa but I think it's a really odd choice and if they needed to add smut scenes there are different areas later on where it wouldn't have been impossible to throw them in without changing the vibe of the story. I think it's just because I reread it regularly because it's easily top 3 bl novels I've read. I'm super bias and I had high expectations so it's a me problem. I'm the drama

Maybe. I actually wouldnt be surprised if they cut the side stories, there were a LOT of side stories and it suddenly (SPOILER) started involving hella aliens and extra terrestrial life so
yeah i did say the item isnt even in the novel in the first place? plus the sex was def more awkward in the novel esp since it took 2 years for them to even do it
reading both id say the manhwa is actually a good adaptation, just as usual they leave out some parts but its not a really big deal. my only problem is with them starting from the grace and gang part.
CHANGING rather than EXCLUDING bcs I'd be totally fine w leaving out some minor interaction parts. the watch isnt even in the novel on ch79 like... (so the whole sex dream and kwon jihan being dazed isnt canon to novel AT ALL)
Yoon seo started out by scolding them revealing his identity but the manhwa made it as if hes just chill abt it. (changed to thought only (??)) it was good in the beginning, it did left some parts but now just feels like they're either rushing, changing the atmosphere of the story to be more heavily romance focused..
but personally i still enjoy it since im not the best person at visualising so i appreciate this with the scrumptious artstyle plus already used to adaptations from novel straying away from the storyline
