Wow the psychology aspect of this was just so well done, the whole Maria chapter was brilliantly done on both ends aswell as the chokehold Christianity had on Alan, it was portrayed in a way that was like a dark shadow looming over him and distracting his feelings with what he was taught.
Absolutely tragic ending but dare I say in that moment, not entirely the worst decision, they went through a lot and people have different feelings about death, wether it’s selfish or painful, there’s another light or infinite darkness, but sometimes it’s the better choice in people’s minds when something as tragic, as your whole world, who you’ve just met, is dying right in front of you. I can understand.
