Why?

Why always go on hiatus?? Just draw more chapters and publish then regularly, so you can have more free time.
Why authors don't draw and finish an entire story BEFORE publish it? Like, I written right now 4 books in tot, currently writing a fifth, and I'm publishing weekly the 2 book I written in March on wattpad, and on September I start to edit the sequel and then I will decide when start to publish.
Why manhwa authors can't do the same?
IT'S A RULE. BEFORE PUBLISHING YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE STORY

People do need to eat and pay rent, and they cant spend months or years finishing a manhwa before they need to publish something to get money.
This isn’t their free time hobby, this is their full time job.
It’s normal to build up a buffer before publishing, but life can and will get in the way when a story has this many episodes. One day of drawing missed can mean the difference between publishing this or next week.
Personal guess: they burned through the buffer and now need to build it up again so that they can keep a consistent upload schedule.

Also, drawing takes much more time than writing, from a labour perspective, hence why light novels can post even daily sometimes, and have like a thousand chapters.

First of all, it's rich of you to complain when you are reading it illegaly.
And second, this title is already finished in korean, the hiatus is for the english translation. So this has nothing to do with the author.

Ah, so why starting somenthing and don't finish it, you might not be consistent, but at least, If it's me I can translate more than one chapter so I can publish more and have more free time after. You know? I grew up with the mentality of: duty first and then right > that is, the sooner you finish, the more free time you will have available
