I think the plot point of Vera having to put up a sweet and innocent facade in front of Van is the whole reason he would NOT have worked as the ML cause if she choose him she’d have to hide who she was
Yeah but he loves her so much that he is able to accept her for who she is by the end. I think it’s more meaningful than her ending up with a male version of herself.
I kind of like blondie as an ML better, sorry you all. He’s just so cute. I think if he was chosen as an ML in a main story, their dynamic would be so fun.
