
It is indeed a representation of some people's reality... but it didn't sit well with me honestly. You can have kinks but need to learn how to care for you and your partner, specially within those practices. With them I felt like it was more of a psychological trauma/ manipulation/gaslighting than a kink of bdsm.

Well look. Nobody who needs to learn anything or needs to be told what to do or how to live their lives should be reading smut bc that would mean they are a minor. I dont subscribe to the infantilation of women reading smut or that it "normalizes abuse" rhetoric. If a child was being neglected and wandered into smut it'd be normalization of abuse for the minor, at the fault of the parent. I do not subscribe to censoring adult womens smut bc women are not smart enough to seperate fictional stories but real people and real relationships. If I lived in the era that school of thought was popular, I'd be a suffrage spinster.
