kind of confused why people are confused about this progression. like it’s just basically bottom didnt have great parents and was disowned the moment he became an ‘adult’ -> bottom at some point started to view the top as the ‘family’ he never had (because he related to the top’s issues with his dad) and gets really attached to him (arguably in an unhealthy way even if it isn’t initially romantic) -> bottom gets upset when the top tries to leave/move out *because* of that potentially extreme attachment
